Reproduction

Reproduction Method:

Cuttings, cut tops off when plant gets to surface, and plant in sand. Cutttings will grow roots.

Comments

Plant leafs can vary in color from green to pink. Background plant in large tanks.  Sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda) added to raise pH, and increase growth rate. One part SeaChem's Flourish is mixed with 19 parts aquarium water and then injected into the sand bed every 2 inches (7.5 cm) every other month.  Substrate used is #60 sand (very small fine grain natural sand), available at Cascade Rock, on Kiefer in Sacramento.
