Sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda), calcium chloide, magnisium sulfate, and SeaChem's Flourish and iron. Flourish- 10ml injected in sand bed every 4 months.

The tank does not use CO2. Substrate is #60 sand I got from Cascade Rock on Kiefer Blvd. in Sacramento. 2 tsp magnisium sulfate (epsom salt), 4 tsp calcium chloride (Turbo Calcium), and 4 tsp sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda) added to tank after every water change.

Plant is often confused with Sagittaria subulata, which is typically a short foreground plant.

S. natans grows over a foot long and can be used as a background plant in a 10 gallon aquarium or a middle ground plant in larger aquariums.
